Cargolux receives Africa award Luxembourg,
Cargolux Airlines International S.A. has received the ‘International All-Cargo Carrier of the Year in Africa’ award at the Air Cargo Africa 2012 conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The award, presented by trade magazine STAT Trade Times, was accepted by George Biwer, Cargolux Vice President Africa, during a recent celebratory event. The Air Cargo Africa 2012 conference, the second of its kind, enabled major industry players to present their services, to discuss opportunities and to forge new partnerships.
‘We are proud to be honored by our peers in the African air cargo industry and thankful for the recognition that our service and customer care receives’, Biwer stated. ‘The markets in Africa are especially important to Cargolux and our network here significantly supports the Cargolux business worldwide. We are also grateful to STAT Trade Times for making this event happen.’
Cargolux has only recently inaugurated a new air cargo service connecting Port Harcourt in Nigeria with Europe and other destinations in the airline’s worldwide network. The carrier is a proven expert in a range of diverse shipments, from perishables, fruit and flowers to heavy machinery for the oil and gas industry on the continent. It is also the first airline to introduce the new Boeing 747-8F on African air freight services, where Cargolux’s customers now benefit from the improved performance and economies of the advanced freighter.
