Cargolux pushes global consistency with new product portfolio
Cargolux Airlines International S.A. launched a range of new products at the Air Cargo Europe event in Munich today that continue to build on the company’s existing core competency and leverage on the evolution of its global presence
For 45 years, Cargolux has delivered service excellence for air cargo shipments ranging from delicate products, such as semi-conductors, to perishables and outsized, heavy machinery. With a focus on the specific needs and requirements of the industry, Cargolux now introduces a portfolio of eight specialized products. CV Classic covers general cargo; CV Jumbo handles outsized and heavy freight; CV Power is dedicated to cars, engines and items such as helicopters; CV Hazmat deals with all classes of dangerous goods; CV Pharma serves the needs of the pharmaceutical industry; CV Fresh handles all kinds of perishables; CV Alive is dedicated to live animals and CV Precious covers artworks and valuable cargo.
“I believe that focusing on this new portfolio of products will significantly boost our support of the businesses of our customers and their customers and strengthen the good relations we enjoy with our partners in the industry,” says Niek van der Weide, Cargolux EVP Sales & Marketing.
With today’s launch, Cargolux aims to deliver an enhanced global consistency in its worldwide network and, in doing so, increase the share of specialized products in its portfolio, further focusing on industry specific needs by thinking beyond the flight and responding to the requirements of customers with door-to-door service needs.
