The group visited the Cargolux Maintenance Center and flight simulator, as well as Cargolux’s 747-8 freighter LX-VCJ, City of Zhengzhou, during a tour of the Luxair CargoCenter.

MoUs signed

Cargolux and Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Co., Ltd. signed two Memoranda of Understanding during the visit that reconfirm the commitment of the parties to continue working towards establishing a Chinese joint venture cargo airline and coming to a binding agreement in 2015, and potentially setting up a joint venture for maintenance and engineering activities in Zhengzhou.

One-year anniversary

The parties used the occasion to celebrate the one-year partnership anniversary of Cargolux Airlines and HNCA. During that year, Cargolux has built up 10 weekly flight frequencies between Zhengzhou, Luxembourg and, only recently, Milan by Cargolux Italia. It shows that the original agreement, signed in April 2014, has, in a very short period of time, led to a fruitful and successful relationship of mutual trust, respect and benefits for both parties. It also underlines Cargolux’s leading role in the Zhengzhou airfreight market.
