The specialty trailers are manufactured with aggregates that guarantee temperature control at all times through new built-in DAC (Discharge Air Control) and PTC (Precision Temperature Control) technology. Moreover, it protects the cargo from any temperature deviation which is a key industry requirement. With temperature accuracy improvement, the set point bandwidth has been reduced by 80 per cent and the temperature sensitivity control has been improved in the remote zone of the trailer. It reduces the risk of pharmaceutical products being damaged by frost. Kuehne + Nagel is one of the first logistics providers equipped with such a large number of temperature-controlled trailers for serving the pharmaceutical industry – in the meantime grown to a number of more than 100 in Europe.
