In this role, Michiel will be responsible for leading and growing the Dutch operations, as well as developing, planning and execution of corporate strategies, driving business development and organic growth. 
 
Michiel has been promoted from the role of Commercial Director, Corporate Solutions which he has held since joining Apex, earlier in 2021. He brings over 15 years of experience in international legal and tax advisory, and corporate solutions, working in the United States and the Netherlands. He joined Apex from Intertrust Group, where he spent over seven years, latterly as Director, Corporate Services in the Netherlands. Prior to this, Michiel led Intertrust’s San Francisco operations, having started his career at EY, advising multinationals and private equity firms on international tax structures and cross-border transactions. 
 
This appointment further demonstrates Apex’s continued commitment to strengthening its presence in the European market and to deliver the broadest range of locally delivered solutions in the industry; across banking, depositary, custody, fund administration, corporate solutions and ESG services. Apex’s Corporate Solutions team provides clients with Capital Markets, Corporate Services, Private Client & Family Office Services, Business Services, ESG Ratings & Advisory and Compliance Services. 
 
Michiel will continue to work closely with Apex’s existing commercial team in the Netherlands, including Henk Pieter (HP) van Asselt, Global Head of Strategic Development - Corporate Solutions and Joris Groot, EMEA Sales.
