POST Luxembourg supports the Alzheimer Foundation

POST Luxembourg has just presented a cheque worth 10 000 euros to the Alzheimer Foundation. This charitable initiative replaces the traditional gifts given to guests of its PostClassic concert and is part of the company's social responsibility approach.

This total will go towards the Alzheimer Foundation's therapeutic gardens project.

In its residential and nursing home "Beim Goldknapp" in Erpeldange, the Alzheimer Foundation is launching a "dementia orientated and adapted therapeutic garden" project. The aim of this initiative is to give the residents an additional means of improving their quality of life.

With the help of donations, 5 easy-to-maintain and different-themed outside spaces will be created, in which local plants will grow (countryside garden, sound garden, therapeutic garden, vegetable garden and flower garden). These spaces will allow residents who are facing the degradation of their cognitive abilities to experience and interpret the world around them.

The cheque was presented by POST Luxembourg's CEO, Claude Strasser, to officials from the Alzheimer Foundation led by the chairman of the board of directors, Jules Geisen, and Dr Jean Jacquemart, member of the board of directors.
