At a ceremony on Wednesday 17 September 2014, Thierry Schuman, Chief HR Officer, Member of the Management Board of BGL BNP Paribas and President of the bank's sports and recreation association (Cercle Amical et Sportif ? C.A.S.), and André Foresti, C.A.S. Secretary, presented a cheque of EUR 4,000 to the association “ZAK! ? Zesummen aktiv”, represented by its President Danièle Flammang-Pauly. The objective of ZAK! is to foster the inclusion of people with mental disabilities through sports and cultural activities.

The donation follows on from the eleventh C.A.S. Sports, Health and Environment Day, held on 3 July at BGL BNP Paribas headquarters for the entire staff of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg. The purpose of the event, which upholds the bank's long-standing commitment to provide a healthy, attractive and stimulating work environment, is to promote health and sport and encourage environmental protection. This year's theme was "Food allergies", and employees had the possibility to meet with environmental and health professionals as well as with their C.A.S. colleagues.

The money collected for ZAK! was raised by selling items such as aprons and thermos flasks to employees during the CAS Sports, Health & Environment Day.
