flibco.com, which has been operating an affordable shuttle service taking passengers from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to several airports in the Greater region for 10 years, has entered into a partnership with Luxembourg Airport, which has now become part of the flibco.com network.

"Although our original aim was to offer residents of Luxembourg direct connections adapted to flight schedules to several airports in the Greater Region, our aim with this partnership is to attract potential customers from Lorraine, Wallonia and Rhineland-Palatinate to Luxembourg Airport", explained flibco.com General Manager Wolfgang Schroeder, who promises a greatly expanded service with 32 daily departures from Lorraine, Rhineland-Palatinate and Wallonia, and a starting price of 5 Euros.

Johan Vanneste, General Manager of lux-Airport, welcomes the creation of this new hub, which he considers a great opportunity for improving service to Luxembourg airport: "I am delighted to be welcoming flibco.com to Luxembourg airport. This new low-cost bus line to Belgium, France, and Germany will enable thousands of new passengers to discover the quality and convenience of Luxembourg Airport, as well as the many destinations on offer."

The airport offers direct flights taking off from Luxembourg to no less than 66 destinations. With its traffic up for the 5th consecutive year, and close to 2.5 million passengers transiting through its terminals, lux-Airport continues to develop and optimize the services it offers to travellers.

With 1.2 million passengers in 2014, flibco.com's offer has expanded considerably over time: the three lines offer bus stops located in the city centres of Marche-en-Famenne, Bastogne, Arlon, Nancy, Metz, Thionville, Trier and Frankfurt-Main, providing easy access to Luxembourg airport from around the Greater Region.

flibco.com's fleet is comprised of 32 luxurious and comfortable large passenger vehicles which have been in service for less than 2 years. The vehicles connect the various lines and meet current environmental standards.
