Dentons advises Berlin Hyp and Deutsche Postbank on the financing of a pan-European portfolio of carparks
The real estate portfolio acquired by Bouwfonds comprises car parks in France, the Netherlands, Spain, UK and Germany.
Global law firm Dentons has advised Berlin Hyp AG and Deutsche Postbank AG in three parallel financing transactions to fund Bauwfonds European Real Estate Parking Fund III’s acquisition of a real estate portfolio consisting of car parks in France, the Netherlands, Spain, UK and Germany.
A cross-border team of Dentons lawyers from Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Luxemburg and Paris advised the lender syndicate, which was led by Berlin Hyp and also included Deutsche Postbank. In addition, Dentons lawyers in Frankfurt, Luxembourg, London and Madrid advised Deutsche Postbank on two bilateral financing transactions for the car parks in England and Spain.
Berlin Hyp is a large German mortgage bank, which specializes in real estate financing for professional investors and housing companies. Deutsche Postbank is one of the leading German real estate banks and active in the German as well as in multiple foreign jurisdictions.
Bouwfonds is a real estate investment management company within the Rabo Real Estate group. IntReal International Real Estate Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft, a subsidiary of Warburg-HIH, was engaged by Bouwfonds to carry out this transaction.
