  • EFA Press release (Feburary 2020)-1

Launched in 2000, it is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 12,300 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries. It represents a unique example of cooperation between the business world and the international community as it assembles not only companies but civil society, NGOs, governments, business associations and UN bodies.

Signatories adhere to align their operations and strategies with Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.

EFA's long history of Environmental Sustainability, Code of Conduct, Human Rights in Employment policies, and other business practices align very closely with the UN Global Compact's principles. Joining the Global Compact will help the company further improve its efforts by collaborating with other leading organizations that are focused on a sustainable future.

Noel Fessey, EFA CEO said, " We believe that what we do today – individually and collectively – shapes our world's future. We believe that we have a responsibility to help shape a better, sustainable future. We have therefore committed to uphold the UN Global Compact's 10 principles for corporate sustainability."

Since its foundation, EFA takes ESG matters very seriously and has been rewarded the Gold level by the independent Ecovadis label since 2018. This allows Asset Managers with Sustainable investment strategies to keep a high-level of ESG along all the value chain of their funds.

With this signature, EFA tells its clients, partners and suppliers that it commits to make a positive impact in this world.
As a signatory, EFA will complete an annual Communication on Progress rapport highlighting its progress in working toward the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.
