Payconiq now available for PPRO partners in Benelux
For users in Luxembourg, this means more opportunities to pay with their favourite mobile payment solution when shopping online, locally or abroad.
Payconiq International and PPRO launched a partnership to provide international e-commerce merchants with a convenient payment method applicable across Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The collaboration will simplify the boarding process, facilitate the access to an innovative mobile payment method and unlock further developments in terms of value-added services.
PPRO – the leading provider of local payments infrastructure has added popular Benelux payment method Payconiq to its portfolio to offer a best-in-class coverage of the region. This move by the two payment solution experts will empower thousands of businesses to unlock their full earning potential. In addition, millions of users in the Benelux region will be able to pay easily and safely, with Payconiq-powered apps, for their shopping online.
The integration of Payconiq solidifies PPRO’s payments portfolio in the Benelux region as one of the most comprehensive in the industry.
“PPRO is an e-commerce champion in Europe and a strategic partner for us, and we’re delighted to be working with them and develop a better experience for international merchants. We are the first in Europe to develop multi-country payment solutions, with local flavours, so partnering up with like-minded payment providers is a logical step for our growth, says Guido Vermeent, CEO of Payconiq International.
When asked about the partnership, Jose Martinez-Benavente, Head of Payments EMEA at PPRO said, “We are thrilled to have another popular payment method for Belgium, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands in our offering. This integration with Payconiq will support our PSP partners and their thousands of merchants, helping businesses get the best conversion rates in these markets”.
What does it mean for the market in Luxembourg?
Payconiq’s online footprint among local and international online businesses will further expand. It will enable Luxembourg residents to pay online, in a secure and fast way, at a wider selection of local and international e-commerce websites.
For local merchants that are already working with PPRO’s partners, this means a smoother access to Payconiq services, without any extra technical developments. They will be able to attract customers from all over Benelux that use one of the Payconiq-enabled apps: Digicash by Payconiq, Payconiq by Bancontact, Payconiq or the mobile banking apps of ING Belgium, KBC Belgium and CBC Belgium.
This partnership strengthens Payconiq International’s position as the European leader in multi-country payment solutions.
