Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of Eurasian Resources Group and Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan to Luxembourg, said: “ERG is proud to support the celebrations of Kazakhstan’s independence, including through the launch of these stamps in Luxembourg, where the Group is headquartered. We hope the stamps will serve as a daily reminder of the progress that Kazakhstan has made in the last 30 years.”

The stamps bear the logo of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence, will be used in correspondence and also be available as souvenirs.

Commemorative copies have already been given to governmental and private sector organisations in Luxembourg, the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Luxembourg as well as the Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation Association.

The stamps will join a long list of commemorative postage stamps that have marked significant events since the issue of the first national postage stamp in Luxembourg on September 15, 1852.

The stamps were issued with the support of Post Luxembourg, Luxembourg’s largest postal and telecommunications services provider, which has more than 170 years of history.
