In April and May 2013, Deloitte Luxembourg welcomed Alexandre Prost-Gargoz and Stéphane Hurtaud as new partners within the tax department and advisory and consulting department respectively. Both know Deloitte Luxembourg well, having spent part of their professional career with the firm.

Furthermore, as from June 2013, five new partners have been nominated within Deloitte Luxembourg: Petra Hazenberg, Marco Lichtfous, Christophe Diricks, Michael Bloom, Axel Motte.

Alexandre Prost-Gargoz | Tax

Alexandre Prost-Gargoz started his career at a Big Four in Luxembourg and further joined Deloitte’s audit department in 2004. He later went on to a leading independent provider of professional administration services for multinational corporations and alternative investment funds, where he headed the organisation as Managing Director, Member of the Executive Committee and Member of the Global Sales & Marketing Committee.

Alexandre will be focusing on a number of strategic initiatives within Deloitte Luxembourg’s accounting services and private equity services.

Stéphane Hurtaud | Advisory and Consulting

Stéphane Hurtaud started his career at Deloitte Luxembourg in 1997, before joining the banking sector in 2005, where he gained extensive experience in the IT Risk, IT Audit and IT Governance fields, with a strong focus on the financial services industry, holding a number of key responsibilities, such as Head of Internal Audit, Chief Security Officer, as well as Head of IT Architecture and Security in several large organisations.

Stéphane will be closely working with Deloitte Luxembourg’s information technology risk practice and will further develop its activities towards the financial services sector.

Petra Hazenberg | Advisory and Consulting

Petra Hazenberg (Dutch, 40 years old) joined Deloitte 15 years ago. Over the years, Petra has acquired solid expertise in setting up and managing large PMO structures for projects with multiple stakeholders. Throughout her career with Deloitte Luxembourg, Petra has worked on assignments in Luxembourg and abroad. This enabled her to gain a broad experience and an extensive knowledge of the consultancy business.

Marco Lichtfous | Advisory and Consulting

Marco Lichtfous (Luxembourgish, 49 years old) joined Deloitte Luxembourg approximately a year ago after a successful international career in strategic consulting, followed by a five-year hands-on experience in the regulatory and governance sector.

Building on his previous experience as a consultant and banking regulator/supervisor, Marco has been involved in numerous banking regulatory projects since his arrival, with a specific emphasis on all matters relating to risk management.

Christophe Diricks | Tax

Christophe Diricks (Belgian, 36 years old) started his professional career as a tax advisor in 2001 in Luxembourg before joining the international tax/mergers and acquisitions department of Deloitte Luxembourg in 2004. Christophe then moved to Deloitte’s Luxembourg desk in New York from 2007 to 2009. Over the last few years, he has further specialised in the development of tax strategies for hedge funds and private equity funds.

Michael Bloom | Tax

Michael Bloom (Belgian, 36 years old) started his career as a tax advisor in 2002 before joining Deloitte Luxembourg in 2004. Michael has acquired a strong expertise in international and local tax matters, with a specific focus on private equity and real estate clients. Since June 2010, Michael has been developing a dedicated tax compliance team.

Axel Motte | Tax

Axel Motte (French, 38 years old) joined Deloitte Luxembourg 13 years ago as tax advisor and has specialised in international tax matters for a wide variety of clients since then, with a specific focus on the U.S. market. For the last three years (and up until July 2013), Axel has been leading Deloitte’s Luxembourg tax desk in New York, covering the overall U.S. market.
