Cargolux, LCGB and OGB-L announce reinstatement of Collective Work Agreement
Cargolux Airlines International S.A., LCGB and OGB-L today announced that they have signed an extension agreement to the Collective Work Agreement (CWA), effective retroactively from 1st January, 2013 through 31st December, 2014.
The extension agreement incorporates an addendum to the CWA as well as an annexure relative to a derogation request to be lodged on 9th August by Cargolux with the ‘Direction de l’Aviation civile’ (DAC).
All parties appreciate the spirit of cooperation and goodwill surrounding the negotiations, which resulted in the reinstatement of the CWA. Both Cargolux and the unions believe that the extension agreement contributes towards securing the long term financial sustainability of the airline through productivity and efficiency improvements.
Cargolux recorded a 13% increase in tonnage in the first half of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012. The airline hopes to repeat this performance in the second half of 2013.
