ING Luxembourg becomes title sponsor of the Route du Vin

ING Luxembourg will be the title sponsor of the Route du Vin for the next three years. The Route du Vin is a half marathon that starts in Remich and passes through the vineyards on the banks of the Moselle.

This partnership will allow us to strengthen our local connections in Luxembourg and build a close relationship with community groups, spectators and those taking part. So if you’re an amateur runner, I’d like to invite you to take part on 28 September 2014!

The race has been organised each year since 1962 by the Fédération Luxembourgeoise d’Athlétisme (FLA) and, with around 2,000 runners, is one of largest races in the Grand Duchy, second only to the ING Night Marathon!

An expanded presence and strengthened local connections
Via its partnership with the FLA, ING aims to expand its presence in the world of running, one of three sports supported by the Bank through its sponsorship policy.

ING now has an extensive interest in the sport in Luxembourg, sponsoring the following races as well:

ING Trail Uewersauer
ING Eurocross
ING Night Marathon
ING Laf duerch 5 Kontinenter

This partnership will mark a significant change for the Route du Vin and its organisers. Having ING as sponsor will give the concept renewed impetus, as the Bank’s role will be to lend the event its organisational and marketing expertise (with a new logo, new website, etc.).
