An agreement to renew the partnership between Fairkoperativ and BGL BNP Paribas was officially signed at the bank's headquarters on 10 January 2014. The cooperative was represented by its President, Fredy de Martines, and BGL BNP Paribas by Kik Schneider, a member of the Management Board and Head of Retail and Corporate Banking in Luxembourg.

The agreement, initiated in 2011 and now extended for another three years, makes BGL BNP Paribas the main sponsor of the D’fair Mëllech (Fair Milk) initiative. The bank will continue supporting Fairkoperativ's action to foster production and promotion of fair-priced milk in Luxembourg.

Through the joint efforts of several key producers and distributors, combined with the support of consumers, milk prices will return to a fair level that offers a decent return for the producers' work.

Commenting, Kik Schneider said, "We wanted to renew our partnership with Fairkoperativ in order to continue and step up the efforts underway for the past three years. Our support for the D’fair Mëllech initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to Luxembourg agriculture and, more practically, to milk producers."
