Luxembourg presented as Europe’s business hub by Deloitte Luxembourg
Deloitte Luxembourg recently published its first edition of the brochure ‘Luxembourg-The gateway to expanding your European business’ illustrating the main advantages for foreign investors to turn to Luxembourg
Attracting new businesses to Luxembourg has become a common objective for both the government and the private sector. To this end, Deloitte Luxembourg produced a concise yet complete brochure, emphasising the main attributes of Luxembourg and providing a comprehensive view on the strengths and advantages of living and doing business in Luxembourg. The document leads through the facts and figures, the position of the business centre and its outstanding location as well as the renowned high quality of life.
“Luxembourg’s high economic performance and political stability are a springboard for developing further economic diversification and growth. This is one of the reasons why the Luxembourg government launched the cluster initiative over 10 years ago.” explains Georges Kioes, Commerce & Industry Leader and Technology, Media & Telecommunications Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.
Business opportunities across various industries in Luxembourg are many and not solely limited to the banking sector. These numerous opportunities are underpinned by Luxembourg’s financial health and political stability. Moreover, precision and continuous research, an up-to-date technological infrastructure as well as innovation are the key pillars to maintaining outstanding performance. In order to push diversification of the Luxembourg economy, the government has created various thematic clusters composed of public and private players.
Historically speaking Luxembourg evolved from an unknown rural spot, which transformed over the years into a unique entry point to access the European market and its 500 million potential consumers. The small yet well-located country, successfully metamorphosed in only one century into a rare package of promising business opportunities and an excellent family environment, making the Grand Duchy an exclusive location in which to live and expand a business. “Luxembourg is home to over half a million people from all over the world. Its population grew significantly with the lifting of internal borders within the European Union, enabling the free movement of people across Europe. Over the years, the subsequent migration flows of highly skilled people have turned Luxembourg into an open-minded and cosmopolitan centre in the very heart of Europe,” states Georges Kioes,
