At a recently held ceremony, Frédéric Perard, Managing Director of BNP Paribas Securities Services Luxembourg, presented a cheque for EUR 11,845 to the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation, represented by Lucien Majerus, in charge of administration, and Denise Weimerskirch, volunteer. The Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation works to support children suffering from cancer and other rare and life-threatening illnesses and provides assistance to the families concerned.

The presentation of the cheque follows the third edition of the Health Days organised on 16 and 18 September 2014 by BNP Paribas Securities Services Luxembourg.

Numerous activities were organised for the event, including, for the first time, a human table football championship featuring 16 teams representing all the company’s departments. Some 50 employees took part in the classic sponsored race, running 350 km around the company head office in Hesperange to raise funds that this year went to the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2014.

Professionals from the Public Health Research Centre were also invited to the Health Days, where they enlightened employees with information on their blood pressure and cardiovascular risks.
