This decision is valid with short notice for the acquisition of all new mobile prepaid cards sold in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and also in Belgium, inside all our physical shops and also inside our online shop. An ID card will be needed while acquiring a new mobile prepaid card. But, this it is only a minor change for JOIN because the majority of prepaid cards are purchased online, a process requiring already the customer’s identification.
Users of existing mobile prepaid cards will soon be informed about the process to identify themselves. Meanwhile, existing cards will work as usual and do not require any intervention of their users.
