Maxime Kumpen to lead CBRE Belgium and Luxembourg
CBRE has today announced a senior management change to its Belgian business
Maxime Kumpen, Managing Director Belgium, will assume overall leadership for CBRE Belgium and Luxembourg. Maxime takes over from Gaétan Clermont, CEO CBRE Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland and Board member CBRE France and EMEA, who has decided to leave CBRE to pursue other interests after 17 years with the Group. The change takes effect from the end of May 2016.
Maxime joined CBRE in 2005 and was appointed MD CBRE Belgium in January this year. He previously spent five years heading up the company’s Capital Markets business in Belgium, and prior to that worked in the real estate investment team. Maxime is highly respected by clients, and his experience and strong market reputation make him ideally suited to sustain the company’s growth in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Maxime will also assume overall responsibility for CBRE’s Luxembourg business, working closely with Laurent Cooreman who has been MD of CBRE Luxembourg since 2008.
Martin Samworth, CEO - EMEA, CBRE commented:
“I am delighted that Maxime will take on an expanded role. He is a key member of our EMEA team and has exceptional market knowledge and experience. Our Belgium and Luxembourg businesses had a strong start to 2016 and Maxime and his management team will now look to continue to evolve our client offer in these important markets.”
“I would also like to thank Gaétan for all he has achieved over the last 17 years. Under his leadership our Belgium business has grown from 15 to 130 people and the team has successfully established a strong reputation in the local market. We wish him the very best for the future.”
