As part of the Management Board, Thierry Schuman will be responsible for Retail and Corporate Banking in Luxembourg. He succeeds Kik Schneider, who will be retiring on 31 December 2016.

Thierry Schuman, a clinical psychology graduate, joined BGL BNP Paribas in 1984, holding a number of positions in private and retail banking as well as at the Human Resources department, notably as Director of Human Resources. He also served on the bank’s Management Board from 2005 to 2014. In January 2015 he joined the Executive Committee of the HR function of BNP Paribas in Paris, in charge of career management for the members of the Group’s various Executive Committees. 

The Board of Directors warmly thanked Kik Schneider for his commitment throughout his 26-year-long career at BGL BNP Paribas. Serving as Corporate Secretary from 1992 to 1998, he went on to hold a number of positions, including that of Director of Marketing and Sales Coordination and, since 2006, that of Director of Retail and Corporate Banking in Luxembourg. He has sat on the bank’s Management Board since 2010 and will remain as a member until 31 December 2016 as Advisor to the Chairman.
