ING Solidarity Awards: a record total of €86,000 given to organisations for the 5th edition!

Real support for non-profit organisations!
The ING Solidarity Awards have the goal of rewarding and supporting the non-profit sector in Luxembourg through a two-part contest:

  1. An online vote
  2. A jury vote for a project

1. The online vote: 119 organisations took part! We received over 35,000 votes!
The first part of the contest asked Luxembourg-based organisations to register on the ING Luxembourg website. In all, 119 organisations registered. Of those, the 40 organisations that received the most online votes from the public were each rewarded with a €1000 cheque. Here is the list of winners in alphabetical order:

2. Jury vote for a project: 64 projects submitted! 10 winners!
The non-profit organisations were asked to submit a project which fit one of the following four categories:

  • ‘Partially volunteer organisations with a national project'
  • ‘100% volunteer organisations with a national project’
  • ‘Partially volunteer organisations with an international project’
  • ‘100% volunteer organisations with an international project’

In all, 64 organisations took part and submitted their projects to an independent seven-person jury composed of four members from outside of ING and three from the company.

The winners by category:
1. ‘Partially volunteer organisations with a national project’ category

  • 1st prize (€6,000): Fondation Autisme Luxembourg
  • 2nd prize (€3,000): Omega 90

2. ‘100% volunteer organisations with a national project’ category

  • 1st prize (€6,000): Athénée-Action humanitaire
  • 2nd prize (€3,000): Luxembourg Paralympic Committee

3. ‘Partially volunteer organisations with an international project’ category

  • 1st prize (€6,000): Objectif Tiers Monde Haïti
  • 2nd prize (€3,000): Action pour un monde uni

4. ‘100% volunteer organisations with an international project’ category

  • 1st prize (€6,000): Sparkles.lu
  • 2nd prize (€3,000): Little Angels ASBL

5. Special Jury Award: a €10,000 prize was split between two organisations based on votes from the jury and the public.

  • 4.550 EUR: Arti’chock ASBL
  • 5.450 EUR: ASA Amicale vun der Schoul fir Assistenzhonn ASBL
