Goodyear certified ‘2017 Top Employer Luxembourg’ for fifth consecutive year
Goodyear, one of world’s leading tire manufacturers, has been recognized with the ‘2017 Top Employer Luxembourg’ Award for the fifth consecutive year. This certification is granted on a yearly basis by the independent organization Top Employers Institute to companies that “create excellence in the conditions for their people”.
Goodyear received the prestigious certification in 12 other countries across its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. The company was also awarded with the “Top Employer Europe” certification for the fifth consecutive year.
The focus of the Institute’s assessment is closely aligned with Goodyear’s goal to “engage and enable associates to realize their full potential.” The audit covers key areas of HR policy to select the companies that are awarded their certification. Goodyear scored particularly highly in talent strategy, performance management, career and succession management and learning and development.
Silvia Sitzen, Human Resource Director for Goodyear in Luxembourg said: “The Top Employer certification is an important recognition for us at Goodyear. Our first priority has and will always be our people. Having the right HR practices in place helps us retain our skilled associates and to attract new talent to join our team. The Certification also allows us to benchmark with other successful companies in the market and to learn in what areas we can further improve as an employer committed to excellence.”
Headquartered in the Netherlands, the Institute has recognized Top Employers around the world since 1991. David Plink, CEO at the Top Employers Institute: “Optimal employee conditions ensure that people can develop themselves personally and professionally. Our comprehensive research concluded that?Goodyear provides an outstanding employment environment, and offers a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programs that are well thought out, and truly aligned with the culture of their company.”
