Deloitte Luxembourg recently announced the appointment of Ludovic Bardon, Sylvain Crepin, Michael Holzmann, Julien Lamotte, Hervé Marchand and Sophie Vanesse to partner, and Damien Ghielmini, Michel Lambion and Olivier Zeler to managing director with effect from 1 June 2018.

With these appointments, the firm now counts more than 100 partners and managing directors, all engaged in the leadership of the firm’s 2,350 professionals.

New partners

Deloitte Luxembourg has appointed the following professionals to partner:

Ludovic Bardon has 13 years of external audit experience and spent one year as an internal auditor in a leading insurance undertaking. Ludovic is a Réviseur d’entreprises agréé, and specializes in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Ludovic is French and he is 36 years old.

Sylvain Crepin specializes in risk advisory, risk analytics, and managed risk solutions for the investment fund industry. He has in-depth knowledge of Solvency II, VAG, PRIIPs, Value-at-Risk, and AIFMD. Sylvain is a certified Financial Risk Manager. Sylvain is French and he is 36 years old.

Michael Holzmann has in-depth expertise in IT transformation programs and core banking system conversion and integration. Michael translates complex business and IT strategies into project portfolios and roadmaps. He has broad international experience. Michael is a dual German and US citizen and he is 53 years old.

Julien Lamotte is a tax adviser with vast experience in international tax structuring of groups within the financial services industry. He mainly advises banking clients and PSFs, but also provides tax advice to asset managers, insurance/reinsurance undertakings, and FinTechs. Julien is French and he is 37 years old.

Hervé Marchand specializes in large projects in the financial sector, with a specific focus on regulatory, core system transformation and enterprise data management projects. He combines strong business knowledge and IT expertise. Hervé is Belgian and he is 40 years old.

Sophie Vanesse serves mainly Private Equity clients, many of which are based in the US and in the UK. Her field of expertise covers Luxembourg fund structuring, ongoing tax advice on Luxembourg vehicles, tax due diligence services and local tax compliance. Sophie is Belgian and she is 38 years old.

Managing directors

The following professionals were appointed to managing director:

Damien Ghielmini has 30 years of experience in the management and delivery of large IT transformation projects, mainly within the financial industry and the public sector. He is also an expert in assessing complex IT architectures. Damien is French/Swiss and he is 53 years old.

Michel Lambion is a seasoned tax adviser, specialized in VAT, with 26 years of experience. He is a recognized reference when it comes to VAT, and chairs the VAT working groups at ALFI and EFAMA. Michel is Belgian and he is 49 years old.

Olivier Zeler has 22 years of experience in accounting compliance and consulting for commercial and financial industries. He is an Expert-Comptable and has been instrumental in the development of the firm’s accounting practice. Olivier is Belgian and 45 years old.
