Matthias has 20 years of experience in consulting for banks and other financial services companies. His principal areas of focus are Private Banking, Regulatory and Compliance. Based in Luxembourg he and his team will support national and international clients in addressing their strategic, operational and regulatory challenges.

Born in Germany, Matthias started his career in 1998 with the consulting company Mitchell Madison Group in London and Switzerland mainly working on supply management related projects. Afterwards he joined UBS inhouse consulting where he also started leading teams. Further stations of his career at UBS and Credit Suisse focused on sales management for private banking both for groups of products as well as for regions. In 2010 Matthias joined TALOS Management Consultants in Zurich and was nominated Partner in 2014. During the following years he mainly worked on regulatory and compliance related topics and accompanied banks in implementing regulations such as FATCA. Such work led him to Luxembourg on manifold occasions and he was heavily involved from day one in the founding and buildup of the local TALOS office in 2015. Hence, he feels a very strong affinity with Luxembourg.

Matthias studied International Management at EAP/ESCP University in Paris, Oxford und Berlin and holds degrees from these three countries. He speaks German, English and French. In addition to his new role as Managing Director of the Luxembourg office Matthias will lead the local Private Banking practice on site thereby significantly contributing to further strengthen the consulting offering of TALOS in the local market.
