DLA Piper stregthens tax offering in Luxembourg with new hire
DLA Piper today announces the appointment of Julie Hecklen as counsel in its Tax practice, based in Luxembourg.
This appointment continues the busy period for DLA Piper's Tax group in Luxembourg, following the appointment earlier this year of partner Jacques Wantz and associates Emre Akan and Olwenn Goasdoué.
Julie specialises in tax advice to private equity funds and international groups relating to private equity transactions, regulated and unregulated investment structures as well as European real estate investments. She also has a strong focus on estate planning and wealth structuring advice to UHNWI, family offices and private banks. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Julie worked at Allen & Overy for more than ten years and also at a private bank in Luxembourg.
Jacques Wantz, Tax partner at DLA Piper, said: "Julie is a highly talented lawyer and we are delighted to welcome her on board. I am confident that she will help us to meet the increasing demand from global clients for tax planning in Luxembourg and internationally."
Catherine Pogorzelski, Country Managing Partner of the Luxembourg office, said: "Julie is a dynamic and driven individual, and adding her to our existing team will boost our offering in Luxembourg. Working in collaboration with our Corporate, Funds and Finance teams, Julie's arrival will enable us to respond to the growing demand for high-quality tax advice in Europe."
