The BTS Audiovisual Henri Martin is one of the most important Media school in France. It accommodates fifteen students per class and has five options. The idea of the Hauts-de-France region, under the leadership of its president Xavier Bertrand, was to equip the BTS with new material and latest technologies. BCE was selected for the renewal of all the equipment of the BTS Audiovisual Henri Martin, with an IP architecture allowing the interconnection of the equipment with a direct access to the media from any room of the facility.

“The upgrade of the BTS Henri Martin pictures the future of media, with on one side the students which will be tomorrow media players and on the other side the technology with the evolution of the media platforms towards IP,” says Philippe Mauduit, President of BCE France. “We are glad to have won this award, it is the result of BCE’s integration expertise combined to the commitment of our teams to the BTS teachers and students”.

The project competed in the “French integration project”, the BTS is like a small television channel that would have a rather developed production and post-production infrastructure. Based on a hybrid architecture SDI and SMPTE 2110 with a server in the central hub, the platform features numerous channels shared between the two control rooms of the two studios, editing rooms which are fiber-linked to the central hub and outside video and sound equipment.

About the project, Jacques Tabary, headmaster of Henri Martin High School states “Everything was done in a close relationship and great involvement of the teaching team. […] If we had not had the close partnership with BCE, we would not have been able to come up with such a result.”
