Alan Ragueneau to expand Nextlaw In-House Solutions in Europe
Alan Ragueneau has been appointed Europe Managing Director of Nextlaw In-House Solutions Dentons’ global strategic business of law advisory.
In his new role, Alan joins the team of more than 60 former GC and in-house counsel and legal operations and technology professionals to lead and expand the Firm’s consulting offering for general counsel and legal departments across Europe.
Alan Ragueneau was previously the Legal Director Market Operations and Sales EMEA at Whirlpool, where he was involved in the redesign of the legal operating model, leveraged modern coaching tools, and implemented robust risk management systems. Prior to that he held European Chief Counsel roles at Mondelez International and served as Global Head of IP at Galderma (a joint venture of Nestlé and L’Oréal). Throughout his career, he has had a passion for developing and optimizing legal operation strategies and solutions across various legal practice areas – including intellectual property, transactional/M&A, antitrust, privacy, and compliance.
“I am delighted to welcome a professional of Alan’s caliber to lead our European team. With more than two decades of experience in the legal departments of large multinationals, he has a deep understanding of the most pressing challenges facing general counsel, as well as innovative solutions to address them,” said Chris Pinnington, CEO of Nextlaw In-House Solutions.
“In my new role for Nextlaw In-House Solutions, my main focus will be to help clients bring innovation to their legal departments to improve their operational strategies, manage spend, implement new management systems, as well as lead and engage their teams,” said Alan Ragueneau in his new mandate. “Drawing on the strategic business of law advisory services of Nextlaw In-House Solutions, the technology solutions of Nextlaw Labs and the legal insights of Dentons lawyers, we are uniquely positioned to offer an end-to-end solution to our clients’ complex challenges.”
“As we contemplate the ‘next normal’ that awaits us once we emerge from the current global crisis, it is clear that the transformation of the business of law will accelerate,” said Tomasz Dabrowski, CEO of Dentons Europe. “With Alan to lead Nextlaw In-House Solutions within Europe, Dentons will be able to bring more value to our clients by helping them to define and adapt to that new reality.”
