Thanks to its unique concept, the Luxembourg Internet Days are usually an opportunity for a thousand professionals to come together to discuss in a pragmatic way the problems and solutions related to the complexity of the challenges of the Internet, Networks and the Cloud.  
 
Exceptional circumstances call for exceptional solutions!  In 2020, the Luxembourg Internet Days will be an entirely ONLINE event over three days, from 17 to 19 November, in order to continue to offer a background and a form more than ever in relation to the news related to the challenges of Network Security and Cloud Security in a context of crisis. 
 
Many have noticed that one of the first challenges following the imposed social distancing was to maintain communication. The resilience and security of the Internet and the Cloud have become paramount in everyone's eyes, bringing professionals from businesses of all sizes and from around the world to the fore to jointly activate long-term continuity plans based on different anticipations, or urgently, depending on their degree of preparation.  This autumn, the time will come to think about the possibility of new crises of a different kind… 
 
This is why the 2020 edition of Luxembourg Internet Days, although ONLINE, will position as usual around targeted axes: Network security and Cloud security – Crisis management, from resistance to resilience. The maintenance of a certain level of activity was made possible thanks to the persistence of Networks and Clouds; but what would have happened otherwise, and what would happen if... 
 
Priority will be given to interactivity. Live sessions with experts’ conferences and round tables, presentations and workshops as well as many exhibitors will be accessible throughout the three days either "live" or through "replay" from the event platform! As usual, the event will also be the occasion for numerous networking opportunities via chats and video contacts rendered with complete ease. 
 
“We will turn this new challenge into an opportunity. This edition will be an opportunity to ignore distances and get experts and professional visitors to reflect together on different crisis scenarios and how to avoid or control them to protect themselves from the worst. We will examine how the implementation of governance rules, the use of new alternatives such as Artificial Intelligence or quantum technologies can serve security… or disserve it,” explains Frédérique Ulrich, Head of Marketing at LU-CIX and organizer of the event. 
 
With the support of the European Commission which acts on the front line to encourage European countries to collaborate in the fight against cyber threats as well as with the participation of European entities, we will also explore what could be the possible responses for a more sovereign Europe in the event of a crisis.
