Resumption of flights between Luxembourg and the United Kingdom

Following the decisions of the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, to lift the temporary suspension of scheduled passenger flights from the United Kingdom and departing from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the United Kingdom from this Wednesday, 23 December 2020 at midnight, Luxair will resume its flight operations to London. 5 return flights will be offered during the holiday season.

As instructed by the Luxembourgish government, passengers returning to Luxembourg must meet the following conditions: • be in possession of a negative PCR test dating back to less than 48 hours; • be in possession of a negative PCR test dating between 48 and 72 hours. These people must undergo a new PCR test at Luxembourg airport and self-quarantine until the test result is obtained;

Antigenic tests are also accepted under the same conditions. These include tests that achieve a sensitivity of ?80% and a specificity of ?97% compared to PCR tests in alignment with the criteria established by the WHO (Antigen detection in the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection using rapid immunoassays.
