taxx.lu offers taxpayers a platform to complete their tax return without any tax knowledge. Since 2018, the platform has been able to help more than 12,000 people fill in their tax return, Luxembourg residents as well as cross-border commuters.

This year, a new tool will be added to taxx.lu's offer: an app allowing to scan and download the documents needed for the tax return.

Your tax return, Child's play!

In order to complete the tax return with taxx.lu, the taxpayer follows an online questionnaire, automatically adapting to his individual situation, which at the end calculates the amount of possible tax refunds. It is important to mention that half of taxx.lu users have received a tax refund of more than €650 in 2020.

The user can then download his tax return (form 100 or 163) for €40 and send it to the tax authority.
Since last year, for an additional €20, form 190 is also available, which is required to declare rental income.

Furthermore, in order to offer the taxpayer, the best possible benefit for his tax return, a personal analysis of possible tax optimisations is available to the user after successfully completing the tax return. Here, taxx.lu calculates the "Opti-Score", which shows at a glance how to save taxes.

A new app "taxx.lu Scanner"

Until now, the documents needed to complete the tax return could be imported using a smartphone camera or a PDF file. This process is now even easier and quicker, thanks to the new "Taxx.lu Scanner" app for iPhone and Android.

The app serves as a tool for users of the taxx.lu platform to easily scan certificates for the tax return. When users scan their documents with the app, the required data is automatically recognised by the Auto Scan function and added to the tax return. This means that the user does not have to manually enter various details into the tax return.
