LG8852, Vienna - Luxembourg
Flight LG8852, arriving from Vienna to Luxembourg on 28 September 2021, faced a technical problem causing a delay in landing.
A technical problem with the landing gear occurred just before the landing of Luxair flight LG8852, operated by a De Havilland Q400, from Vienna to Luxembourg. Following this incident, the pilot chose to abandon the approach to Luxembourg airport.
Following the safety procedure for this type of event, an alternative extension of the landing gear was operated. This operation caused a delay of about 30 minutes.
The aircraft was then able to land normally and for safety reasons, as required by the procedure, the aircraft was towed to its position in terminal B, at the airport.
The passengers were informed by the pilot and their safety was not jeopardized, at any time. Once they arrived at their destination, they all safely disembarked the aircraft.
