KPMG strengthens its consulting offering in asset management and asset servicing with two experienced partners
KPMG today announces that Annick Breton and Christian Guertler are joining the firm as partners in its consulting practice, both having a strong experience in the asset management industry. Starting in January 2022, Annick and Christian will work in close collaboration with Yves Courtois, Head of Advisory and the Advisory Partners group.
As a former senior executive at BNP Paribas Securities Services and FundPartner Solutions (Pictet), Annick specializes in the fund industry, both for traditional and alternative asset classes, with a focus on the asset servicing, management company/AIFM and depositary bank activities. She leads management consulting projects such as post-merger integrations, business migration, target operating model design & execution and has a wide experience implementing a range of asset management platforms, including Yardi – an innovative property management & investment management software for the real estate market.
Annick comments: “I am thrilled to join KPMG and its team of strategic advisors offering expertise in strategy, technology and innovation to asset managers. KPMG’s strong presence in the local market, as well as its global reach allows clients access to the right skills and services they need to tackle the challenges of the industry. But KPMG is not only a clear choice for clients, I look forward to continuing my career among many talented and experienced colleagues, and I believe together, we will continue to foster the reputation of the firm as a trusted advisor and employer of choice going forward”.
Christian has more than 25 years of financial services experience across Europe and the US with an emphasis on the German market. Before joining us, he was based in Frankfurt with an EMA role in asset management consulting. He is actively reshaping the future of investment companies, fund platforms and asset servicing providers advising top-tier clients on distribution strategies, target business and operating models, profitability management, deal value creation as well as digital transformation and IT platform integration. He is an expert in BRS Aladdin and SimCorp solutions.
Christian highlights: “Asset managers and asset servicers are at the cross-roads of major transformations, where they need to efficiently manage multi-asset portfolios. Our clients need to be agile; they need to reduce complexity for the investors while improving data accuracy. These are exciting times for the asset management industry where I am confident that our combined expertise, as well as my experience in the industry, will allow us to achieve more informed decisions and better investment outcomes for our clients”.
Yves Courtois, Head of Advisory, said: “The onboarding of both Annick and Christian, two very experienced partners in the asset management and asset servicing industry, is a testimony of our commitment to provide our clients with a competitive edge with a wide range of high value proposition products. Their cross-border experience acquired from working with global industry players and through their consulting background brings both a pragmatic and forward-looking perspective in serving our clients’ interests.”
