30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg: Eurasian Resources Group organises celebration in Luxembourg, together with Kazakhstan’s Embassy and Honorary Consulate
Eurasian Resources Group (“ERG” or “the Group”), a leading diversified natural resources group headquartered in Luxembourg, has recently organised a reception dedicated to celebrating both the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Kazakhstan’s Republic Day.
The event was a great example of strengthening cooperation between the two countries and promoting Kazakh culture in Luxembourg. It was attended by Mr. Margulan Baimukhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium, employees of the Embassy, the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan and the Group, and representatives of the government of Luxembourg, diplomatic corps and business community in Luxembourg.
Ethno-folklore musical ensemble HasSak performed at the solemn reception. The musicians played traditional Kazakh music, surprising the guests with a virtuoso performance of famous Kazakh folk compositions on traditional musical instruments, such as kobyz, dombra, sybyzgy, jetigen and dauylpaz. The event also featured Kazakh batyrs in traditional national dress, as well as Kazakh national dishes. The reception was arranged together with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
H. E. Margulan Baimukhan, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium, said when speaking to the guests: “Kazakhstan, Luxembourg and the EU have long maintained solid relationship based on trust and mutual respect. We intend to continue our efforts aimed at development of Kazakh-Luxembourg relations in the spirit of trusting dialogue and partnership.”
Mr. Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of Eurasian Resources Group and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, said: “It has been an honour to support the strengthening of economic and cultural relations between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg. At ERG, we are proud of our enduring presence in our home country of Kazakhstan, and are pleased to have been representing Kazakh business in Luxembourg for almost 10 years. We look forward to continuing to strengthen the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in the years to come.”
Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg were established in 1992. In the context of celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, ERG and the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Luxembourg intend to continue their joint efforts to strengthen Kazakhstan-Luxembourg relations in the fields of culture, business and innovation.
