B Medical Syspems joins the government of Luxembourg to extend humanitarian support in Turkey and Syria
Following the series of massive earthquakes and aftershocks which struck south-eastern Turkey near its border with Syria, the region has faced a major and urgent humanitarian crisis. The earthquakes caused significant destruction, claimed thousands of lives, and left many more homeless and injured.
The crisis has drawn relief and aid from around the world. In support of this relief effort, B Medical Systems has joined hands with the Directorate of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) to ensure that the affected areas are immediately able to receive the required medical and biological supplies using the medical transport boxes equipped to carry blood, vaccines, and medicines at the required temperatures.
“The way the various Luxembourg actors have worked together to deliver fast and important relief material to Turkey is exemplary. It is a great pleasure to see that private actors like B Medical Systems are also offering their support with their donations, which will help provide better medical care to the people affected by the earthquakes.” – said Mr. Franz Fayot, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs.
“Our mission at B Medical Systems is to save lives through reliable and innovative technology. So, it was a straightforward and instant decision to join the Luxembourgish Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in supporting the people of Turkey and Syria in these difficult times. Our medical transport boxes with long holdover times can ensure that required medical and blood supplies reach people in need even under the toughest conditions.” – said Mr. Luc Provost, CEO of B Medical Systems.
B Medical Systems donated 50 medical transport boxes that will reach the Hospital at Adana, Turkey, and will be used to provide necessary blood and medical specimens to the people in the areas affected by the earthquakes. The vaccine transport boxes, all manufactured in Luxembourg, provide a cold life of up to 6 days ensuring medical supplies are viable and can reach the people in need under these difficult circumstances.
