Sionic Appoints HSBC’s Stéphane Assemat to Expand Swiss & Benelux Wealth Management & Private Banking Practice
Global financial services consulting firm Sionic has announced the appointment of private banking expert Stéphane Assemat as a Partner in its award-winning Wealth Management & Private Banking Practice, with a specific remit to expand the firm’s reach across Switzerland and the Luxembourg region.
Stéphane has over 30 years’ experience in the financial industry, principally within fund administration, life insurance, and private banking, and is an expert in business operations transformation and payments. He joined Sionic from HSBC’s private banking team, where he has held a number of senior roles including Head of Operations, Interim COO, Global Head of Treasury & Banking, Global Payment Product Owner and Payment Transparency Lead.
Stéphane Assemat says
“Joining Sionic was a natural choice. Professionally, the team are at the top of their game and the firm is on a fast-growth trajectory with an impressive reputation and existing client base. Most exciting of all is the potential to grow our reach out even further across close-ended funds, private equities and fund administrators and to ensure our full range of banking, life insurance, financial crime and control, risk, regulation, technology change and transformation expertise is available to new and existing clients, right across the region.”
Philip Biber, Sionic Managing Partner and Head of Sionic-Switzerland says
“We are delighted that Stéphane has joined Sionic. Not only is he a specialist in private banking; he is also a recognised leader in the subjects and locations where we see the greatest growth potential. Switzerland and Luxembourg are both banking and also insurance hubs, which creates new opportunities for Sionic, as part of Davies, to offer a spectrum of expertise to even more clients.”
