Accompanied by the different department managers of ALIPA Group, Angelina Markovic, student at the Athénée de Luxembourg, had the chance to discover the daily life of the company for a whole day. “This young girl visited the production workshops of our different companies: NO-NAIL BOXES, CODIPRO and LIFTEUROP. She also visited the different departments: sales, customer service, purchasing, accounting, marketing, etc.”, explains Michèle Detaille, Managing Director of ALIPA Group.

It was an experience that Angelina really appreciated: “This day helped me to develop my knowledge and gave me some ideas for my future. I was able to understand how such a company works and how it is managed. I noticed that there is a good atmosphere and close cooperation between the different departments. I was welcomed respectfully and the staff took time to answer all my questions.

A “Students Welcome” Group

ALIPA group attaches great importance to the presence of these young people in the company, as Michèle Detaille explains: “We regularly welcome trainees and students to our companies to raise awareness of the industry and attract a quality workforce by showing that it is possible to earn a living, to develop oneself and to have an interesting job in an industrial company. Moreover, it is our role as company managers because, if no one accepts to pass on their knowledge, if no company allows young people to be initiated to the joys, but also to the constraints of work, how can we be surprised that they sometimes lack motivation, that they do not know what job to choose later and that they do not perform well in their first job?”

Organized by Jonk Entrepreneuren in partnership with the FEDIL and the Chambre des Métiers, the Job Shadow Day allows students to get an insight into the world of work by accompanying a company manager for an entire day.
