Run for Charity at the 9th Luxembourg Times BusinessRun

The social aspect is strongly linked to the BusinessRun philosophy and so the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun on Thursday, September 21st, is not only about running and celebrating together – the focus is also on helping each other. Since 2018, the motto has been “doing good while running”: for each participant, the organizer donates two euros to the Fondation Cancer, the official charity partner. The Fondation Cancer is a charitable foundation with the purpose of information for prevention and the fight against cancer, as well as the funding of initiatives, scientific research or information campaigns, that serve for the battle against cancer in the broad sense.

In addition to the mandatory organizer’s donation, participating companies have the opportunity to donate a further, voluntary amount and increase the total volume of raised money. By doing so, those companies become true “BusinessRun-Heroes”. The Heroes were created in 2018 by the organizer in order to implement a platform on the topic of “charity”. To mark their commitment and to thank them for their engagement, all Heroes of the company receive a special charity bib number. Together with voluntary donations, a total of €25,758 was raised for the Fondation Cancer in 2022 – this amount was also rounded off with an additional donation of €1,000 from the Chambre des Métiers, among others.

Until the official registration deadline on September 4th, all motivated companies and runnres still have the opportunity to register for the ninth edition of the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun online at www.business-run.lu and thus lace up their running shoes for a good cause.
