DLA Piper relocates to iconic Nova Building at the heart of Luxembourg City
Global law firm DLA Piper will move on 2 April to its new Luxembourg home, the iconic Nova Building in the centre of Luxembourg City. Located on the Place de l'Etoile, the newly rebuilt 4,000 m.sq. office marks a larger local footprint for the firm. The significant investment reflects the continued growth and success of the firm's Luxembourg office and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its position in the country. The firm relocates from its former home in the Kirchberg district.
Over the past decade, DLA Piper has emerged as one of the top ten law firms in Luxembourg and a key player in the country's investment fund industry. Their global stature, as part of the world's third-largest law firm, has uniquely positioned the Luxembourg office to promote the financial place on the international stage, attracting significant clients, investments, and talent. This combination of a strong local presence and global reach has been pivotal to their success story.
By transitioning from a single floor to a flagship building, DLA Piper is reaffirming its commitment to enhancing its visibility and market share in Luxembourg, while further solidifying its strong foothold in the local landscape. The office's ambition is to be recognized as a leading and influential law firm, firmly rooted and fully integrated into the domestic market.
Catherine Pogorzelski, Country Managing Partner of DLA Piper Luxembourg comments: “We’re truly excited to move into our new home. We’ve worked hard to ensure that our new premises – elegant, modern, and innovative – symbolize our journey and reflect the dynamic and forward-thinking spirit of Luxembourg. The firm’s significant investment in the future of our Luxembourg capabilities is a marked validation of our sustained growth, pioneering strategy and significant role in the firm’s international network.”
The Nova Building has been completely rebuilt and modernised as part of an ongoing period of rejuvenation for the surrounding area. Now boasting a ‘very good’ BREEAM rating for sustainability, placing it among the city’s most responsible properties, the relocation builds on the firm’s focus on reducing its carbon footprint, with its energy usage also offset by the firm’s industry-first corporate Power Purchase Agreement. The updated building sits front and centre at the entrance to the City of Luxembourg, in the heart of the capital amongst the firm’s clients and prominent institutions.
