Uber and WEBTAXI: first trip from today 18th june
A month and a half after the announcement of the partnership between WEBTAXI and Uber in Luxembourg, the Uber app is now fully operational in the Grand Duchy and WEBTAXI vehicles now bear the Uber logo, marking the launch of a successful cooperation between both companies.
To celebrate this milestone, Ms Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg's Minister for Mobility and Public Works, ordered the first journey from Place Clairefontaine (city centre) to her work premises on Place d'Europe at Kirchberg, together with WEBTAXI and Uber representatives, Laurent Slits (Director of Uber) and Emile Weber (CEO of the Emile Weber Group), in a modern, fully electric, co-branded vehicle.
“Happy to take the 1st ride with Uber in Luxembourg today!! Congrats to Uber in collaboration with WEBTAXI for offering your services in Luxembourg from now on”, stated the Minister of Mobility and Public Works today in a Linkedin post.
As of today, the WEBTAXI fleet is also available via the Uber app and the WEBTAXI app will also continue to be available on the Luxembourgish market.
