Luxair: New self-service check-in kiosks at the Luxembourg airport
Luxair and lux-Airport have put into operation new self-service check-in kiosks at Luxembourg Airport
Ten new kiosks have been in operation since 21 April, five dedicated to Luxair and five for mixed use by the passengers of both Luxair and the other airlines operating out of Luxembourg and already offering selfservice check-in.
The main benefit for the passenger is less time spent on checking-in. Compared to the previous kiosks, the transaction time is significantly reduced thanks to faster response times. The passenger is now also able to print his luggage tag himself. If he uses this option, the passenger just has to drop his luggage, fitted with the tag, at the counter.
Subject to the class of his ticket, the passenger also has the option to use the new kiosk to register on another flight to the same destination. For instance, a customer booked on a London-City flight and wishing to advance his departure can now himself choose an earlier flight (subject to availability) and print the corresponding boarding pass.
These new services come on top of the other possibilities already offered to passengers to benefit from the latest technological opportunities offered by the market to organise his trips as efficiently and comfortably as possible, namely web and mobile check in, with the sum of these features contributing to streamline and optimise the customer experience at Luxembourg Airport.
