By the end of June 2013, Orange Communications Luxembourg S.A. accounted 105.420 active mobile communication clients[1], a raise of 5,2 % compared to last year. In the first semester of 2013, the clients of the Luxembourg subsidiary have spent 1,3 % more than the year before. During the first semester 2013 the ARPU[2] was 51,13€, per month, per active client, compared to 50,48€ for the same period the year before. By the end of June 2013 the gross income of Orange Communications Luxembourg S.A. was 33,9 millions of €, compared to 32,3 millions € at the end of June 2012, a progression of 4,9 %. The global turnover for the first six months was 37,6 millions €, a raise of 6,2 % compared to the 35,4 millions € the year before. This progression comes from the success of mobile subscriptions on one hand and the renewed confidence of Orange clients on the other.
EBITDA[3] of the activities in Luxembourg has shown once again un excellent result due to a strong growth of gross income. EBITDA[3] of Orange Communications Luxembourg S.A. was 8,4 millions € at the end of the first semester 2013, compared to 5,8 millions € a year before.
More than ever present in Luxembourg, Orange continues to invest massively in its mobile network, be it 3G, 3G+ or more recently 4G, to have the most people take advantage of very high speed mobile networks. Client service, their satisfaction and user tests ahead of the launch of new offers and products are the key to growth for the operator. Inline with this strategy, Orange has launched MyOrange, an application allowing to monitor consumption exactly, as well as Open, the first “pick and mix” offer which allows a client to compose its own package of landline, mobile and internet, without renouncing to existing advantages for every component he’s using.
In order to meet the need for advice in the use of smartphones getting more and more sophisticated, Orange experts, who have been specially trained, welcome customers in 7 out of a total of 18 shops throughout the country. Thanks to a presence throughout Europe, the operator offers mobile calls in 33 European countries and options like Go Europe allow travelling in Europe without surprises in terms of billing.
