Orange was the first in Luxembourg to introduce restricted flat rates to protect the youngest against overpassing their communication consumption. With Norton Family, we want to help all the parents to protect their children against damaging content or usage and to enable them to discuss their internet use. All parents feel concerned when it comes to protect their children on the internet, that why the free version of Norton Family is available for anyone, no matter who is his telecommunications provider

Thierry Iafrate, Marketing & Communication Director with Orange Communications Luxembourg S.A.

For Orange, a policy to protect children on the internet is a priority. Among the actions that have been taken, specially those initiated by the works of the European Commission in this matter, one was to develop tools for parental control, together with offers adapted to the digital use of youngsters.

This service is available in Luxembourg since the end of December 2013 and allows parents to receive alerts on the internet activity of their children, to make sure they surf on safe sites and don’t give away sensible, personal details to others. Furthermore it gives the parents the chance to discuss the internet use of their children and to manage the time they spend on the net, without withholding the benefits in terms of learning and entertainment.

This can be done easily from any computer and addresses any mobile or fixed device that can surf on the internet ( PC, Mac, Android et iOS)

Activating your account via: http://norton.orange.lu is free, Orange clients may as well connect via their MyOrange app.
