According to a global survey recently conducted by Verdantix, Deloitte ranks first in brand preference for both sustainability consulting and sustainability assurance worldwide.
In two separate reports, entitled Global Sustainability Survey 2014: Consulting Brands and Global Sustainability Survey 2014: Assurance Brands, Deloitte topped the rankings, placing ahead of other Big 4 competitors as well as smaller, specialist sustainability service providers.
“Sustainability issues are increasingly important to organisations and have attracted the attention of world leaders, executive management, and boards,” states Nicolas Hennebert, Partner and Sustainability Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg. “We believe these survey results reflect the investment and commitment Deloitte has made to sustainability services. This recognition further motivates us to continue attracting best talent and delivering high quality solutions across the whole range of sustainability issues that our clients have come to expect.”
For the consulting report, participants were surveyed about current and future engagements with, and their perception of, 22 sustainability strategy services and business consulting firms. For the assurance report, Verdantix questioned survey participants about their brand recognition of, and engagement with, 17 assurance providers that offer sustainability verification services.
Throughout 2014, Deloitte member firms have received a record number of accolades from analysts and other stakeholders. In addition to the acknowledgement of its Sustainability services, Deloitte has been recognised in a variety of fields: Analytics, Digital and Data Transformation, Cyber Security, Technology, Finance Transformation, Tax, Human Capital, Risk and Strategy & Operations as well as in industries such as Financial Services, Life Sciences & Health Care and the Public Sector. “Recognition across such a diverse set of capabilities demonstrates Deloitte’s unique capability to serve clients at the heart of their business,” states Laurent Berliner, Partner and Sustainability Advisory Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.
About the survey
For the two reports, the independent research firm Verdantix interviewed 260 senior sustainability leaders at organisations with annual revenues from US$250 million to over US$20 billion, representing 21 industries and 13 territories.
