The ING Solidarity Awards: Five years already!

fr en de

This major event in the life of the Grand Duchy is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year! In 2012, ING Luxembourg was thrilled to launch the "ING Solidarity Awards", the first initiative of its kind in Luxembourg at the time! All of the non-profit associations and foundations registered in Luxembourg and established in the country have been invited to take part ever since.

This year, the ING Solidarity Awards starts on Monday, 12 September.

Our goal: support and provide visibility to the non-profit sector!
ING's goal is to reward and support the non-profit sector in Luxembourg through a two-part contest:

  1. An online vote
  2. A jury vote for a project

1. Online vote 40 x €1000
Associations are invited to register on the ING Luxembourg website (www.ing.lu/solidarityawards) if they meet the conditions of the rules. The 40 associations garnering the most votes from Internet users between 18 October 2016 and 8 November 2016 at noon will receive a cheque worth €1000.

2. Jury vote for a project
4 x €6000 + 4 x €3000
The associations taking part can also submit a project to ING before 10 October 2016 at midnight by registering using the same procedure as for the "Vote online" contest. At the end of the process, the projects submitted will be voted on by a jury.

The projects will be classified in four categories and the members of the ING Solidarity Awards' Jury will select the eight projects they found most promising in terms of value and impact, originality and implementation method.

The four categories:
To take part, each association/foundation must fit one of the four following categories:

  • "Partially voluntary associations with a nationwide project"
  • "100% voluntary associations with a national project"
  • "Partially voluntary associations with an international project"
  • "100% voluntary associations with an international project".

Two projects from each category will be rewarded: First prize €6000 and second prize €3000.

The ING Solidarity Awards 2016 ceremony will be held on 15 November at 7.00pm at the Forum Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg-City.

Colette Dierick, CEO of ING Luxembourg encourages all associations in the Grand Duchy to submit their candidacy now: "Five years already! I'm particularly happy and proud to be celebrating the anniversary of this wonderful project, the ING Solidarity Awards! I would like to invite all associations in the Grand Duchy to sign up for the 2016 edition now!"

To fill in the candidacy form in compliance with "ING Solidarity Awards" rules or for additional information, please go to www.ing.lu/solidarityawards on the ING Luxembourg website.
