Deloitte Luxembourg sets its course
Deloitte Luxembourg is preparing for the upcoming change at the helm, and recently announced strategic changes in its Executive Committee.
Last fall, the partnership elected John Psaila as its next Managing Partner, who will take over when Yves Francis’ second term as Managing Partner comes to an end on 1 June. The recently announced changes to the partnership’s Executive Committee reflect an increased strategic focus on technology and the firm’s international agenda.
“We have streamlined and strengthened our existing governance model to make sure we address the wide range of opportunities and challenges we expect the future to hold. In three keywords, our strategy is shaped around our clients, our talents, and technology, and we are expanding the scope of our international agenda,” explains John Psaila, Managing Partner- elect at Deloitte Luxembourg.
In line with this, Patrick Laurent has been appointed to the Executive Committee as Technology & Innovation Leader, ensuring that the technology dimension becomes a core part of the firm’s strategic roadmap. In parallel, Bernard David has been appointed as the firm’s Cross-Border Relations Leader, adding new responsibilities to his leadership of the firm’s international tax agenda.
Sophie Mitchell, who has led the firm’s audit practice since 2011, has been appointed as the firm’s Operations Leader, while Christiane Chadoeuf, a seasoned auditor who has been acting as the firm’s Ethics Leader since 2014, has been announced as the firm’s new Audit Leader.
Other changes to the Executive Committee include the appointment of Stephan Tilquin as the firm’s Talent Leader. Tilquin has been the Talent Leader within the firm’s tax practice for several years and now expands the scope of his role. Jerome Lecoq, previously the Risk Leader within the audit practice, has now been appointed as the firm’s Reputation & Risk Leader. Benjamin Collette takes on a dual role as the firm’s Strategy Leader and Clients & Industries Leader, whilst Vincent Gouverneur has been announced as the firm’s Managed Services & Transformation Leader.
Entrepreneurship as the winning formula
These changes to the firm’s Executive Committee reflect John Psaila’s stated agenda.
“We will keep building on the strong traditions of the firm and drive it steadily forward in the direction we have been pursuing successfully over the past years. We are proud of our entrepreneurial culture and multidisciplinary approach, and we value our diversity. Our unique structure built on strong business functions and industries will continue to define and drive our firm going forward,” adds John Psaila.
The members of the Executive Committee have each defined a dedicated team for their areas of responsibility, which will help them tap into the enormous potential represented by the firm’s 2,300 professionals.
Deloitte Luxembourg has seen several consecutive years of strong growth and has more than doubled its headcount since 2010. The firm now represents more than 60 nationalities.
