On Wednesday, Docler Holding hosted an event in collaboration with WomenHack and Coding Girls to promote women in the field of IT and technology at its headquarters in Kirchberg. The event gathered 80 people around speeches from successful women in the IT field, speed meeting sessions with local companies, and opportunities for participants to discuss their daily lives in the IT community.

The digital world is clearly not limited to a single gender, and the Tech Women in Luxembourg event proved once again that there are more and more women excelling in the field. As a testament to this trend, Coding Girls, an international non-profit organization that promotes technology education, collaborated with WomenHack, an organization that facilitates the search for jobs in IT.

Participants learned about the use of learning programming languages through the 'Code like a

a' project, as well as a visualization of data on women’s relationship to IT, and benefited from feedback on creating a career in IT as a woman. The speakers: Maria Pia Montoro, Aida Horaniet and Valentina Brysina have received a certificate from Coding Girls’ founder, Anna Radulovski, for their commitment to the promotion of careers in IT.

Aida Horaniet's research has highlighted some evocative figures. In Europe, only 20% of young university graduates in information and communication technologies are women, while the demand for qualified staff continues to grow. This type of event makes it possible to create a community capable of tackling these statistics.

WomenHack is more than just a recruiting event. It is also about creating synergies between talents and companies. A total of six companies participated in the speed meeting to present their career opportunities: Job Today, Maltem Consulting Group, European Investment Bank, Tokeny, Expon Capital and Docler Holding.
