CMS Luxembourg expands partnership with 2 promotions
CMS Luxembourg is pleased to announce the appointment of two partners, Andreea Antonescu (Corporate/M&A) and Hugo Arellano (Employment).

CMS now counts 9 partners and more than 90 staff including 70 lawyers working all together from our brand-new office since 1 March. These internal nominations confirm CMS’ growth dynamic and reaffirm our will to position ourselves as a leading and full-service business law firm in Luxembourg.
- Andreea is specialized in Corporate and M&A. She assists private equity firms, institutional investors, international groups and venture capital firms on their Luxembourg corporate law and civil law matters. She works across a range of projects including national and cross-border transactions such as acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers, demergers, migrations and restructurings. She assists clients on the establishment of their Luxembourg companies or partnerships, including corporate governance aspects, shareholder agreements and management incentive plans. She advises clients in going concern on all investment steps, from structuring transactions at inception to handling their realisation up to exit.
- Hugo, who joined CMS Luxembourg in 2015, heads CMS Luxembourg’s Employment practice. He provides employment law expertise on day-to-day legal advice, individual and collective dismissals, and transactional projects to clients of all sizes, from large multi-national clients to start-ups. Hugo is also an experienced litigator and is therefore able to effectively advice and represent his clients in proceedings before Luxembourg courts and administrative authorities. In addition, he has experience in real estate development projects and constructions disputes. He endeavors to make the law more accessible to his clients, providing clear, concise, and consistent solutions to their particular queries.
These appointments come together with a round of 20 promotions across all our departments reflecting the firm's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and to providing opportunities for growth and development for its employees.
