Wassail is an old custom that dates back to the Anglo-Saxon times, when people would drink hot spiced cider, sing songs and bless the apple trees to ensure a bountiful harvest. Ramborn has adapted this tradition in Luxembourg to support the company’s values and mission: during the Wassail ceremony a young fruit tree will be planted and participants will be shown how to care for an older one. It’s a way of honoring nature and continuing the cidery’s work of orchard restoration, as they are vital natural and cultural resources.

Guests are invited to embark on a torch-lit guided tour of the neighboring orchards in the evening, and warm up with comforting local food and drinks among family and friends, in the picturesque Ramborn Cider Haff, to the sound of live music. Participants will also be able to visit the cider farm and take advantage of the late-night opening hours of the cozy Ramborn boutique.

The Wassail celebration of Ramborn Cider Co. presents a unique opportunity to explore cider's rich history and production, sample award-winning ciders, perries and sparkling fruit wines, made from local fruits, while witnessing the preservation of biodiversity and traditional landscapes in Luxembourg.

Tickets are priced at €40 per person and include the participation in the Wassail ceremony in a traditional orchard, a free commented tasting and a free drink, a bowl of local soup (vegan option available) and the entertainment of the evening.
