ALIPA Group had the pleasure of hosting Malwina Dorda, a student at the European School of Luxembourg, as part of Job Shadow Day. She had the opportunity to experience corporate life for a day. Guided by various departmental heads (marketing, sales, customer service, procurement, accounting, and production), she was able to immerse herself in the daily operations of the group.

Malwina, passionate about mechanical engineering, particularly enjoyed this experience: “It was an impressive day that exceeded all my expectations. I was able to learn more about the engineering process and meet many people. Exploring the different aspects of the job was enriching, and I especially enjoyed participating in the marketing department meeting, a field I didn't know much about. A big thank you to the teams at ALIPA Group for their warm welcome.”

A “Students Welcome” Group

The ALIPA group attaches great importance to the presence of these young people in the company, as explained by Michèle Detaille: “We regularly welcome interns and students to our companies to introduce them to the industry and attract quality workforce by showing that one can make a living, thrive, and have an interesting job in a production company. Moreover, it is our role as business leaders because if no one is willing to pass on their knowledge, if no company allows young people to learn about the joys, but also the constraints of work, how can we be surprised that they sometimes lack motivation, that they don't know what job to choose later on, and that they are not very efficient in their first job?”

Organized by the Jonk Entrepreneuren non-profit organization in partnership with FEDIL and the Chamber of Trades, Job Shadow Day allows students to get an insight into the world of work by accompanying a business leader for a whole day.
